NimbleX is a Slackware-based Linux live CD distribution from Romania. It is a wonderful distro because it remains light and fast despite using KDE as its desktop environment. Amazingly this experience is brought about by a small-sized iso file of only 200MB. If you need a smaller iso, the sub100 edition is also available with KDE! This project has also made headlines being one of the very few to offer the online customization of the iso with the help of its Custom NimbleX Live CD generator, before downloading the customized iso from its portal. All these are for free but kindly donate to the project to keep it alive! It is also easily made to run from pendrives and usbkey and of course NimbleX has also been designed to be easily extendable in functionality. With this new developmental release of NimbleX 2008 Beta, it boasts 9 desktop environments :- KDE, E17, E16, Xfce, IceWM, EDE, Fluxbox, OpenBox and TWM. It can be downloaded here.
